Unified Basketball Classic

serving with joy

Christ Academy was honored to host the Unified Basketball Classic, a basketball tournament and skills competition for special education students from schools in the surrounding area. We were especially grateful to host teams from Burkburnett and City View, whose students, staff, and supporters helped make the day one to remember. The Classic brought together students of all abilities for friendly competition and skill-building. From the moment our guests arrived, they were greeted with enthusiasm, encouragement, and genuine hospitality from our Christ Academy students.

Elementary athletes participated in a skills experience hosted on the Christ Academy campus, while middle and high school students took part in skills competitions and a tournament hosted at the nearby YMCA. At both locations, athletes enjoyed an “Athlete Village” filled with fun activities, music, and dance parties.

Christ Academy high school students served throughout the day, offering their time and energy to ensure each participant felt welcomed and celebrated. We are thankful to the visiting schools, including Burkburnett ISD and City View ISD, for sharing this special day with us, and to our families and staff for partnering with us as we continue to live out our mission together.

The Unified Basketball Classic was more than a tournament. It was a beautiful reminder of the joy found in community, service, and celebrating every individual as uniquely and wonderfully made.
