Visual Arts PROGRAM
Our visual arts program gives students diverse mediums to explore, experiment, and create while reflecting God as the ultimate Creator of all things good and beautiful.
Studio Art
At Christ Academy, Early Education through 12th grade Studio Art is a comprehensive, hands-on course where students explore 2D and 3D media, such as drawing, painting, ceramics, print-making, and sculpture. Our teachers strive to nurture each child’s unique skills and range of abilities, encouraging them to push their boundaries and refine their craft while reflecting God’s beauty and creativity.
Our curriculum emphasizes technical skill development, critical thinking through portfolio creation, artistic reflection, studying the elements of art, principles of design and historical and contemporary artists. Most importantly, it frames creativity as a divine gift from our creative God.
Students are also provided with opportunities to showcase their talents locally and state-wide.
High School Ceramics
High School students will have the opportunity to work with class, both functional and sculptural, learning technique, patience, and creative problem-solving through a medium that is entirely hands-on.
