WE PREPARE AND INSPIRE

High school students at Christ Academy are in a strong academic environment with a nurturing community to help students grow and thrive.

CHRIST-CENTERED ACADEMICS

At Christ Academy, we challenge our high school students through academic rigor and meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth, preparing them to excel in their future with confidence, purpose, and creativity. We intentionally cultivate essential soft skills, such as time management, self-advocacy, communication, and responsibility, equipping students to navigate both academic and real-world challenges with wisdom and independence.

We integrate strong academics, creative arts, competitive athletics, solid biblical instruction, and opportunities for mission involvement. Through this well-rounded approach, students are encouraged to develop their God-given gifts and talents while growing into capable, resilient Christ-centered leaders.

Because a biblical worldview is foundational to every area of learning, students are taught to evaluate ideas and make daily decisions guided by Scripture. As they grow, they continue to develop both their minds and hearts, equipping them for their next steps beyond high school.

High School EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALs

Independent + Self-Aware + Prepared

At Christ academy, we cultivate student independence, self-awareness, and readiness to pursue their God-given potential. We prioritize face-to-face interaction and a strong learning community, which is supported by our no-cell-phone policy during the school day and our intentional use of technology as a tool to enhance – not replace – learning.

Students are challenged to think critically, take initiative, and work both independently and collaboratively. Each student is also equipped with a Mac laptop for use on and off campus, allowing them to access resources, stay organized, and take ownership of their learning.

Students spend their lives in a multitasking, multifaceted, technology-driven, diverse world and must be ready to perform. Our High School program provides an enriched blended learning model, combining a traditional educational model with asynchronous virtual instruction and independent online coursework.

I heavily feel that Christ Academy has trained me for my next step in life. Particularly during high school, CA taught classes similar to college-based courses. It has been an easy transition into college because I was already familiar with what to expect from my time at CA.
— Bella, Class of 2025

High School framework

  • While classes are taught in a face-to-face, community-based environment, students can choose their independent study environment based on the assignments or activities they need to complete. Our Blended Learning Center provides a variety of workspaces available to students: a common room, meeting rooms for small-group teaching and group work, and studios for individual study spaces. A testing room is also available for exams and standardized testing such as the PSAT. Flexible schedules foster the opportunity for students to pursue their passions (dual credit, sports, internships, work, etc.) or receive additional help from teachers and staff.

  • Bible is taught as a foundational course designed to deepen students’ biblical worldview. This course equips students with a strong biblical framework to clearly articulate and faithfully live out their beliefs, especially as they prepare to enter college and the workforce. Biblical truth is intentionally integrated across all academic subjects, enabling students to develop a cohesive biblical worldview and apply their faith meaningfully in every area of study and daily life.

  • Chapel is an integral aspect of student life at Christ Academy. Weekly Chapel is a time for worship through music, prayer, testimonies, and teaching from Scripture. Students often hear from guest speakers, pastors, and members of the Wichita Falls community to learn, be challenged, and ask questions.

  • Students can choose from various on-campus electives, including :
Foreign Language (all students take at least two years)
    Studio Art
    Photography
    Graphic Design
    Ceramics
    Musical Theatre
    Foundations of Business
    Entrepreneurship

  • Our High School blended program mimics the hybrid world-of-work by providing web-based curriculum and implementing a flex instructional model. Christ Academy teachers deliver in-person instruction while providing accountability and personalized support for every student. They also utilize an online platform to give students access to course materials and resources. In addition, Christ Academy partners with Sevenstar to expand course offerings, with those classes taught remotely by Sevenstar instructors.

  • Students can choose to take Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Credit courses. Dual Credit is possible through a partnership with Vernon College, Midwestern State University, and Dallas Baptist University. Dual Credit classes are taken both online and on-campus, and are available to students in grades 11 and 12. Courses may also transfer to other universities.

The independence that comes along with the high school program at Christ Academy is one of the main aspects that helped prepare for me college. I was able to learn time management, how to study on my own and how to motivate myself to work hard.
