Spring Music Recitals
Spring concerts showcase our thriving music program
Recently, our Lower School music students took the stage for two special nights of spring concerts, and what a joy it was to watch them share what they’ve been working on this semester.
Our 1st–3rd grade students kicked things off with a fun and energetic program. They sang a mix of hymns, folk songs, and some crowd favorites, including a “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” that truly stole the show. Students played on xylophones and rhythm instruments, adding so much life and movement to their songs.
We also loved seeing collaboration across grade levels. Sixth grade musicians Jack and Garrett joined in, and a special guest from the Wichita Falls Symphony brought the fiddle, making the night even more memorable. Our 3rd graders did a wonderful job demonstrating what they’ve learned on the recorder this semester. It was so fun to see their hard work on display.
The 4th–6th grade concert was just as special, with both our music class and 5th + 6th grade choir taking the stage. Our 4th grade students showcased their recorder skills.
Our 5th and 6th grade choir sang beautifully, with pieces that included rounds, harmonies, and solos, and we enjoyed several additional performances from students playing ukulele, guitar, and drums. One of the highlights of the evening was their first song performed in Latin, which was such a neat milestone for this group.
Both nights were a sweet picture of how much our students have grown. We’re so thankful for the way our teachers have faithfully and patiently worked with them all year, and it’s a joy to see that growth come to life in performances like these.
