Upper School 2026 Academic Awards
Way to go, Warriors!
As we wrap up the 2025–26 school year, our Upper School teachers took time to recognize students for their academic achievements. From grades 5–12, our students work diligently all year, so it is a joy to celebrate the fruit of their labor.
This year, we held three separate ceremonies, honoring High School, 5th and 6th grade, and 7th and 8th grade students. Teachers presented subject-specific awards recognizing dedication, determination, critical thinking, and meaningful contributions in the classroom. Art and Math awards from this year’s competitions were also presented, highlighting the strength of these programs. During the 5th and 6th grade ceremony, Athletics awards were included as well, including the Spirit of Sport Award.
A highlight of the Middle School ceremony was the presentation of the Junior Warrior Awards, a distinguished honor given to one student from each section who demonstrates exceptional character and leadership. Created specifically for Middle School students, this award reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also strength of character. Congratulations to Hannah Gunter and Neely Henry, who were recognized for their academic excellence and for consistently showing kindness and compassion toward others.
This year, we also had the opportunity to recognize several unique areas of student involvement. Our Middle School entrepreneurs were honored for opening and faithfully running Café 53 throughout the school year, demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and creativity. Choir students were recognized for their dedication and commitment to growing their musical talents. In addition, Mr. Starling had a hard time choosing just one student for his 8th grade English award, so he presented special awards to several of his students. You’ll have to ask them what their green apple awards mean!
Mrs. Adams reiterated the significance of each ceremony, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and celebrating the diverse talents and contributions of our students, gifts that ultimately come from the Lord. We are proud of each of these students and their hard work. Well done, Warriors!
