Dear Warrior Families,

We are excited to share some wonderful news with our Christ Academy community. Please join us in welcoming Coach Russell Ratliff as our new Athletic Director.

Coach Ratliff is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, where he earned a degree in Mathematics Education and a coaching endorsement. He later earned his master's degree in educational administration from the University of North Texas. He brings 28 years of experience in education and athletics, serving students and programs across Texas in a wide variety of roles. He has coached and supported multiple sports, including football, basketball, volleyball, cross country, track, baseball, and softball, and has served as a head coach at several stops along the way. His depth of experience, steady leadership, and heart for students make him an excellent fit for Christ Academy.

Beyond his impressive resume, what excites us most is who Coach Ratliff is as a person. He is a man of faith, a committed servant leader, and someone who believes athletics are a powerful tool for building character, discipline, and teamwork. He has been married to his wife, Mandy, for 28 years, and together they have three daughters, Hope, Claire, and Molly. Family and faith are central to who he is, and those values align beautifully with the mission of Christ Academy.

As Athletic Director, Coach Ratliff will focus on strengthening our athletic programs, supporting our coaches, and developing student-athletes who compete with excellence, integrity, and Christ-like character—on and off the field.

We are grateful that the Lord has led him to our community and are confident he will be a great blessing to our students and families. Please join us in praying for Coach Ratliff as he steps into this new role this summer and feel free to welcome him when you see him on campus.

Thank you for your continued support of Christ Academy and our athletic programs.

With gratitude,

Tyler Jacobus | Head of School
