CA High School Students Attend Student Leadership University

Leadership in action

At the end of June, a group of Christ Academy students traveled to Florida to take part in Student Leadership University (SLU) 101, a national student leadership conference designed to equip young leaders to think, dream, and lead with purpose.

This has been a year in the making after Kristen “Coach G” Goodgion took our High School Leadership program under her wing. After holding fundraisers, working with local organizations, and hours of student preparation, this multi-day experience made a huge impact on the lives of our students. It included dynamic teaching sessions (some held at SeaWorld Orlando) and encouraged them to grow in both faith and leadership. Our student-leaders were challenged to develop a “holy frustration” with the world as it is and to take meaningful steps to impact our culture for good.

Christ Academy senior Trinity captured the trip in a video highlighting the students’ experiences and reflections, which can be viewed on our social media pages.

We can’t wait to see what our student leaders brought home to apply across our high school and all of Christ Academy!
