6th Grade Science Fair
6th grade makes big discoveries
This week, our 6th grade students showcased their curiosity and hard work this week at their Science Fair! Over the past month, students designed and conducted their own experiments, developing hypotheses, collecting data, and compiling their findings through a structured process supported both in class and at home.
Projects explored a wide range of questions, including the effects of different liquids on oobleck, how various flowers impact fabric dye pigmentation, and how acids affect different foods, just to name a few.
With dedicated class time each week and support from Mrs. Prothro along the way, these scientists thoughtfully prepared their projects and produced brief presentations to share their discoveries. They confidently presented to attendees, clearly communicating both their process and results. It was exciting to see their learning come to life through such creative and independent scientific exploration!
