Dear Friends and Families of Christ Academy,

We are writing to share an important update regarding the 13th Annual Christ Academy Chocolate Soirée, scheduled for this Friday evening. Due to the expected inclement weather and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person event.

This decision was not made lightly. The Chocolate Soirée is a meaningful and highly anticipated evening for our community, and we are deeply aware of the time, planning, and generosity poured into this event by our staff, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and families. After much thought and prayer, we believe prioritizing the safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers is the right decision.

While we are disappointed not to gather in person, the heart of the Chocolate Soirée will continue. Our chefs have worked diligently to create incredible, custom-made chocolates, and we are grateful their creativity can still be enjoyed. Ticket holders will be able to pick up to-go chocolate boxes at Christ Academy on Friday, January 23, from 8:30–10:30 a.m. We will share additional details as plans are finalized.

The live broadcast will still air on KAUZ News Channel 6 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, featuring the chocolate tasting, highlights from our chefs, and stories of the mission and impact of Christ Academy. The auction will remain open, and we encourage you to continue participating as you are able.

Canceling a fundraiser days before the event comes at a cost, but no amount raised is worth compromising safety. We are currently working through reimbursement options for tickets and sponsorships. If you would like to convert your ticket or sponsorship into a donation to Christ Academy, please contact Angela Culley at your earliest convenience.

The Chocolate Soirée is our largest fundraiser of the year, and your continued generosity plays a vital role in supporting our students, staff, and mission. While this year looks different, we trust the Lord is at work and are grateful for the grace, understanding, and steadfast support of this community.

Thank you for partnering with us and for making the most of this year’s event in a new way. We look forward to sharing more details soon.

With sincere gratitude,

Tyler Jacobus | Head of School
