Kindergarten Letter Fashion Show
an alphabet runway
As kindergarten concluded reviewing our letters and sounds, Mrs. Gill and Mrs. Mills put on their first annual Letter Fashion Show in hopes of solidifying letter knowledge! Each child drew a letter and was responsible for creating a T-shirt or costume that represented that letter. They were also responsible for knowing that letter’s sound.
On the big day, parents, grandparents, and siblings filled the chapel, bringing energy and excitement as they cheered on the students. One by one, each child walked down the runway to show off their costume or T-shirt, eagerly introducing themselves, their letter, its sound, and what their costume represented. The audience’s encouragement made the event even more memorable for our young learners.
Students then paraded through the entire school from EC to our High School so everyone could also enjoy the Letter Fashion Show. This experience not only helped solidify letter recognition and sounds, but also gave students an opportunity to practice presentation skills and begin building the confidence they will carry into future public speaking.
Way to go, Kindergarten!
