OVERVIEW

Reflecting God as Creator

At Christ Academy we integrate visual arts, music and dance into our curriculum, providing students with a deeper level of exploration and creative development artistic interests.

“One of the most powerful things about the arts is how God shows Himself in unique and distinct ways through His children. He honors our differences and each person’s beauty.”

-Nell Fitchie, Grade 4 Teacher

Music at Christ Academy

Our early Education music encourages creating, singing, participating and responding. Students engage in developmentally appropriate activities that foster their level of ability.

Elementary music engages students with a wide range of activities including singing, instrument work, composer studies, music literacy, listening, folk dances, and hands-on learning.

Middle School Choir fosters a love for music and using their singing voices as our primary, God-given instrument. Students are encouraged to understand choir as a team sport, where everyone holds an important role in helping to create a beautiful sound. Students have an opportunity to perform in winter and spring concerts, GrandFriends Day, Veteran’s Day, and other special events.

Studio Art

At Christ Academy, students begin to create and explore art in Early Education years. Our teachers strive to nurture each child’s unique skills and range of abilities, encouraging them to push their boundaries and refine their craft while reflecting God’s beauty and creativity. Students are also provided with opportunities to showcase their talents locally and state-wide.
