Information Technology

Information Technology Mission Statement

Technology is an essential component of the mission of Christ Academy.  We are committed to ensuring that every graduate of Christ Academy has the technological skills necessary to compete in the 21st century, and has been taught how to use those skills in a moral and ethical manner.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God through which all technology integration is filtered. The Technology Director and all technology staff will work to provide the highest quality of technology-based services, in the most cost-effective manner, to facilitate the Christ Academy mission as it applies to management, teaching, learning and community service.

Educational Philosophy

The Technology and/or Computer Education Program at Christ Academy is designed to teach students a variety of technological skills that advance each grade level. Students are taught how to manage, maintain and properly handle hardware, peripherals and a variety of electronic/digital products & components. The Windows XP & Windows 7 operating systems are used throughout the school and students are taught how to use them, as other software is used for various assignments. Software is purchased and updated yearly according to the needs of a growing campus, and as technology advances. The software used at Christ Academy is chosen based on its ability to prepare students to succeed in a global economic environment and to compete in the Information Age in a way that reflects Christ-like character.

Grades/Technology Tools Required

Each elementary grade level will require the use of a networked computer equipped with internet connectivity, network printing to color LaserJet and black LaserJet printers, shared network drives on the Christ Academy servers, keyboards, speakers, mice, headphones and recommended software loaded on each workstation.
