Welcome to Music at Christ Academy!
Music is Praise. Music is Encouragement. Music is Expression. Music is FUN!
Students will attend Music 1-4 times a week for 30-45 minute sessions based upon their grade level. Each grade level will learn new concepts and build upon the previous year’s instruction and application.
Music is taught from a God-perspective with the understanding that we were created to make music for Him and we should strive to glorify Him with our music.
Music is taught from a perspective of respect. Even if a student chooses not to pursue Music beyond their schooling years, they will develop an understanding of Music and the importance of its influence in everyday life.
Music is taught using Eight Elements of Music - Fundamentals (Rhythm / Pitch / Form / Tone Color) and Communicative (Expression / Appreciation / Etiquette / Texture)
