CHRIST ACADEMY UNIFORM POLICY 2012-2013
PRESCHOOL/ELEMENTARY UNIFORM POLICY
General Guidelines:
- All clothing must fit modestly and properly.
- Hats are not permitted indoors.
- No tattered, ripped, torn, or patched clothing or clothing with holes.
- No sweat pants, warm-ups, or camo.
- All shirts tucked in for chapel.
- Hair should be washed, combed, and neatly trimmed.
- Boys’ hair should be no longer than the top of the uniform collar height in back, no longer than the bottom of the earlobe on the side and out of the eyes in front.
- Athletic shoes must be worn every day. No flip-flops, sandals, or slides are allowed. Students are not allowed to bring an extra pair of shoes to change into for PE.
- With the exception of chapel clothing which must be purchased at Parker Uniforms, students may shop for uniforms where the clothing is available.
- The principal may call free dress days at his discretion. Guidelines will be given for those days as they are called.
Outerwear:
- Heavy winter coats, sweaters, or raincoats
- Sweatshirts or hoodies with CA logo
Friday Spirit Day: Friday is designated as Spirit Day. Students may wear jeans or denim shorts (no holes) and a Christ Academy shirt. Students must wear school appropriate clothing. Tank tops, clothing with holes, sandals, flip-flops, slides, or any open-toed shoes may not be worn. Athletic shoes must be worn every day.
PreSchool/Elementary GIRLS’ Dress Code:
Daily Wear:
- Choice of white, red, navy or black knit shirt with the CA emblem
- Turtlenecks may be worn under CA shirt
- Choice of navy, black, or khaki pant, short, skort, or jumper-no denim
(The length must be no shorter than a dollar bill width above the kneecap while standing.) - Black or brown belt (for bottoms with belt loops)
- Athletic shoes- no sandals, flip-flops, slides, or open-toed shoes
Chapel Wear PreSchool-3rd Grades:
- White blouse (long or short sleeve)
- Parker uniform plaid jumper with CA emblem
(The length must be no shorter than a dollar bill width above the kneecap while standing.) - White, red or navy socks, knee socks, leggings, or tights
- Modest shorts under jumper
- Athletic shoes – no sandals, flip flops, slides, or open-toed shoes
Chapel Wear 4th-5th Grades:
- White blouse (long or short sleeve) with CA emblem
- Parker uniform plaid skirt
(The length must be no shorter than a dollar bill width above the kneecap while standing.) - White, red or navy socks, knee socks, leggings, or tights
- Modest shorts under skirt
- Athletic shoes – no sandals, flip-flops, slides, or open-toed shoes
PreSchool/Elementary BOYS’ Dress Code:

JUNIOR HIGH UNIFORM POLICY
General Guidelines:
- All clothing must fit modestly and properly.
- All shorts, skorts, and skirts must be no shorter than a dollar bill width above the kneecap while standing.
- Hats are not permitted indoors.
- No tattered, ripped, torn, patched or clothing with holes.
- No sweat pants, warm-ups, or camo.
- All shirts tucked in for chapel.
- Hair should be washed, combed, and neatly trimmed.
- Boys’ hair should be no longer than the top of the uniform collar height in back, no longer than the bottom of the earlobe on the side and out of the eyes in front.
- Facial hair must be close cropped, cleaned, and combed.
- No body or facial piercings or tattoos may be visible at school or any CA function.
- No male earrings at school or a CA function.
- Girls may not have more than two earrings per ear at school or a CA function.
- Students may shop for uniforms where they are available.
- The principal may call free dress days at his discretion. Guidelines will be given for those days as they are called.

- Turtlenecks may be worn under any CA shirt listed above
Pants:
- Slacks – khaki, navy, or black
- Shorts – khaki, navy, or black
- Cargo pants – khaki, navy, or black
- Girls’ skirts – khaki, navy, black, or Parker uniform plaid
- Girls’ capri pants – khaki, navy, or black
- Girls’ skorts - khaki, navy, or black
- Black or brown belt worn, if bottoms have belt loops
- No denim or camo

- Shoes designed for laces/shoestrings should be tied.

- Sport coats or Blazers
- Slacks, chinos, or Dockers
- Dress jeans with a blazer or sport coat
- Polo shirts with collars
- Oxford button-down shirts
- Dress shirts
- Turtlenecks
- Sweaters and cardigans
- Loafers, approved lace-up shoes, boots, leather deck-type shoes
Women:
- Dress slacks
- Dresses
- Skirts
- Suits
- Blouses
- Sweaters
- Dress black or dark blue jeans
- Heels, sandals, dressy flip-flops, wedges, boots, and flats
Unacceptable attire:
- Plain or pocket T-shirts
- Cutoffs, short skirts, or skirts with a slit higher than the knee
- T-shirts with logos other than Christ Academy
- Faded, distressed, ripped jeans
- Athletic wear
- Tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, spaghetti straps
- Beach wear
- Midriff tops
- Provocative attire
- Off-the-shoulder tops
- Workout clothes or shoes
- Evening wear
Enforcement:
- First offense if questionable attire is worn: the student will receive a warning and explanation of the inappropriateness of the attire.
- First offense if an obvious violation occurs: the student will be asked to change into school uniform.
- Second offense: the student will forfeit the privilege to wear business attire.
Review and Revision: Christ Academy reserves the right to rescind and/or amend this policy at any time.
